Deep South Mainship Owners Rendevous

With the close of April came a great group of new friends! We are very happy to be part of the Deep South Mainship Owners Association and enjoyed meeting members during the 2012 Rendezvous.

Alexis & Berwick Duvall were gracious enough to welcome everyone aboard the beautiful "Moondance" for a short lunch cruise to Lulu's

Of course a post would never be complete without a little wildlife in it so I will call this one
 "dock surveillance"!

Jimmy and I decided to take the dinghy out for a little exploring across the canal and up through a quaint little cut before meeting the rest of the group at Shuckers for evening appetisers

As usual, I enjoyed the sights and was pleasantly surprised to come upon a couple of dolphins playing around so far away from the mainstream of the canal.

Then it happened...the almost vintage 9 horse Johnson sputtered and died...literally...despite the relentless resuscitation efforts of my dear husband...

Thankfully the marina was close by and Eddie was able to come to the rescue before SeaTow was dispatched!

Sparing all the traumatizing details, our little motor was laid to rest and it was a sad time but life will go on!

With the dinghy now "safely" back in the slip...another long story ;-) we set out to join the gang at Shuckers.

My dear friend Carla surprised us with a visit and put smiles on our faces as usual when she joined us with her absolute cheerful personality!
Carla & Carla....we sound like a Law firm...lol

Appetisers, drinks, and little business too... Jane handed over her role as commander of the group to a very willing Tom! We cannot wait to see what the year will bring! Hoping for many gatherings with our new friends!

Tom sounded a lot like a politician making BIG promises and the laughter was contagious...or maybe it was indulging of Bushwackers that spread the cheer!

Saturday afternoon we shared Happy Hour on the dock, needless to say there was plenty of food and spirits to be enjoyed

Once again we have enjoyed a fabulous week with Anticipation and friends!

Until next time...we hope you enjoy life to the fullest!
